About MeI am a researcher passionate about the community and dedicated to taking an evidence based approach to social change. I am an analyst, writer, speaker, and educator with six years of experience studying and teaching social psychology, prejudice, and discrimination. I am looking for an opportunity to use my skills and experience to conduct, translate, and apply research to better the London community.

My Background |
I grew up just outside of Chicago and earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology before coming to Canada. In 2011, I moved to London, Ontario to complete a PhD in Social Psychology at The University of Western Ontario. During my time at Western, I conducted basic and applied research in the area of prejudice and discrimination, particularly as it related to immigrants. I was also a member of the Collaborative Graduate Program in Migration and Ethnic Relations. In August 2015, I successfully defended my thesis and finished my degree. For the past two years, I have been teaching courses in the Department of Psychology at both Western and King's University College. In addition to my academic work, for the last three years I have served on the London and Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership's Inclusion and Civic Engagement Subcouncil, recently being appointed Vice-Chair. In that role, I am proud to have coordinated the "I am London" campaign for two consecutive years.
